Our Mission
Earthly helps pet parents tackle the trickiest parts of caring for their animals, with functional recipes made from ingredients they can feel good about. We started behind the counter of a neighborhood pet store, and we created Earthly because the pet parents we worked with every day deserved better solutions than what was on the shelf.
The journey began in a neighborhood pet store.
For years, two of our founders managed an independent pet store where people came not just to shop, but to get genuine help: allergies, picky eaters, behavioral challenges, health concerns. We heard every problem, helped with every situation, and got a firsthand education in what pet parents were actually up against.
We kept hearing the same frustrations from pet parents.
One frustration in particular kept coming up: the natural cat treats on the market just weren't something cats loved. Pet parents doing everything right were getting turned away at treat time and going back to the junk food their cats would actually eat.
So we did something about it.
We teamed up with two product developers and entrepreneurs who had spent their careers creating radically better wellness products for people, and got to work. Cat Sushi was the result: one ingredient, nothing added, and cats who truly loved it. Pet parents finally had a natural treat they could feel good about and their cats agreed!
We fell in love with solving real problems for pets and we never looked back.
After Cat Sushi came Pill Buddy, because giving a dog medication shouldn't be a daily battle. Then Earthbones, because pet parents who read labels couldn't find a dental chew they felt good about. 10 years later and we have dozens of products, each solving a unique and urgent need for pet parents.
Today, our products are recommended by pet experts and pet store owners alike. We couldn't be more excited to wake up every day and bring new, healthy alternatives to the lives of pets.
